Mixed media

For the first time in years I decided to draw a picture after looking at all the awesome mixed media canvases i had seen . So with all inspiration id seen heres what i ended up with .

Timepiece mini album

Today ive been making a album for my friend . I wanted to make something different and unique. I purchased a clock piece a few months back and decided to add that into the album . 

 

   

 

 Loved making this and it will be hard to give this one away , may just have to recreate another for myself xx

First day of school

So today is the day the schools went back . Aimee started P1 , Derren P4 and Lewis into S2 . OMG I'm starting to feel old haha .

So this afternoon I decided to scrap the special day .

Using my Marion Smith scartlet printables Aimee helped pick out the papers to use ,

her favourite one being the butterfly paper .

I've used the mini envelope and tags to add some journalling .

I have added some Prima flowers and little pearls in the corners .

ALTERED JIGSAW

 I bought this chipboard jigsaw a few years back and its been sitting in my stash , so today i decided i was going to use it along with Graphic 45 French Country papers , Tattered  Angels chipboard pieces and a  selection of flowers . Hope you like the finished result xx

VINTAGE TAG

I thought i would share my vintage tag i made using Tim Holtz resist papers that I have aged with distress inks to give it a vintage look.                                                                                                                 

The photograph is of my Gran and Grandad Anderson on there wedding day.                                        

GRUNGY GYPSY ALBUM

I created this album from Laura Denisons pattern the Grungy Gypsy .
I covered the album using Graphic 45 papers from the Olde Curiousity Shoppe collection .
For the embellishments I have used Prima flowers , Tattered Angels chipboard pieces and Tim Holtz ruler ribbon .
I added  walnut stain distress ink to distress the edges of the album and the embellishments .

CANVAS MINI ALBUM

For the mini book i started with my pieces of canvas.

 I glued them to chipboard using mod podge and inked the edges 

with walnut stain distress inks by tim holtz.

I then left it to dry overnight 

                                                  I've added my title on the front of the cover.

                                           There is 6 pockets inside using Stack the deck method
                                                          to attach them inside the cover.

                                           I have also 6 sections that open up to make photo mats.

MIXED MEDIA CANVAS

This was my first go at doing a mixed media canvas , i loved it .                                                                 

I just got a bundle of bits and pieces from my stash , a canvas , gesso , acrylic paint and my tattered angels sprays and just had fun .                                                                                                                           

MY LAST ROLOS.

I made a sweetie hamper for my dad and decorated different sizes of jars to fill with the sweets .  

This one i filled with a bag of rolos as a jar of my last rolos .                                                         

I decorated it using the cricut cartridge preserves for the top of the jar and the tag then added the

piece of ribbon and button around the neck of the jar .                                                                

Altered photo box album it has 3 different sections in the top that holds photo sleeves .

Another project using Marion Smith Designs printable kit , i made it into a Twilight album a secret santa gift for work loved the way it turned out .

This album i made as a christmas gift for my brothers girlfriend using Marion Smith Designs downloadable kit Alice in Wonderland

I then decorated it with prima flowers , tim holz ideaolgy and metal charms

I didnt want to do the traditional calender for new years gift for my mum so I decided to decorate a kilner jar instead .And she loved it
